A Proven and Permanent Solution
Preparing for treatment

Live Plants, certain cactus plants can remain. All other live plants need to be removed from the room or home.

Fish bowls, all fish in fish bowls will die. Please prepare to remove all fish from your room or home.

Fish tanks, turn off the filter, cover your filter and tank with a blanket.

Dogs & Cats, remember hamsters, some tropical reptiles may remain.

Cans of paint, paint thinner also needs to be removed, store in your garage or other non-heated areas.

Food items , not all food products need to be removed, only products that may be subject to melting or combustion.
(Such as carbonated drinks, peanut butter, cooking oil, chocolates, wine, and liquor.)

Wax products, deodorant, lipstick, cosmetics, crayons, candles.

Plastic blinds, take off of widows and place flat or they may warp. Bed bugs can live in blinds they must stay in the home.

Remove batteries, please take batteries out of remotes. Leave remote controls in your home and leave all children’s toys in the home.

Medicine and vitamins can be stored in your refrigerator. These are sensitive to heat. Remember to bring your meds with you.

Vinyl & VCR tapes, are recommended to be removed. 35 mm film will melt so please remove it.

Oil/Acrylic Art, If you have expensive artwork, are subject to high heat exposure. “If in doubt, remove it.”

Picture frames, not all pictures frames will fall and break, only picture frames that have backings held with glue will fall. Keep the picture
frames in your room or home. Picture frames may contain bed bugs. They need to remain in the treated area.

Combustible items, all combustible items need to be removed. This includes lighters, oxygen tanks, aerosol cans such as room deodorizers, and ammunition, matches, ect.

Collectible items, comic books, stamps collections, wood carvings. Are subject to heat damage.

Music Instruments, leave all carry cases in your room or home. Carefully inspect instrument prior to removing from your room or home. These items are subject to damage with heat treatment.

Make sure all furniture is ~6 inches off of walls to induce proper air circulation.

Remove mattresses from box spring and stand on ends up against wall. This is the only thing that should be leaning on the walls.

Unplug all electronic except major appliances

Vacuum or sweep up dust/pet hair as it impedes treatment and is hazardous to our equipment. These mandatory preparation steps increase the airflow making the treatment highly effective.

Clothing piles need to be no more that 3” deep, clutter must be reduced, if not eliminated. Overcrowded rooms, closets, dressers are the number reason treatment are not successful. If clothes are piled any more than 3” deep, and we are not responsible for the prep, the 30 day guarantee is void and will not be offered if reinfestation occurs. Please consult exterminator if in doubt.

All extra clothing will need to be dried on high heat, bagged, sealed and remove from room or home. Consult exterminator with any uncertainties.

Books need to be in the treatment zones. We must treat all books that you have read in bed.

Luggage: this may be where the bed bugs came from, all luggage must be in the treatment zones.
